Chee Hoo welcomes the crowd to groove and feel for the music, at least he thinks that’s what trance should be about! Professing a love for the genre, he swears by online broadcasts of radio shows almost every single week by his DJ influences. From a teenage listener of EDM many years back, he has taken the step to DJing and derives considerable joy in playing his favorite style of music to the masses.
Moving on from his debut at Home Club, he scored victory at NECDC Music Mix 2006 (Open Category), emerging as Champion as well as being a Finalist @ SAFRA DJ Battle 2008. Apart from playing regular sessions at Blu Jaz Café, he has graced the decks at Sessions @ Phuture, Supperclub, and has played at nationwide events such as the National Day Fringe Festival.
Besides being part of the local music collective COUP, he also led student's DJ club during his days of study such as Republic Polytechnic's Electronic Music Production (EMP) and NUS's SynQ DJs. A strong advocate of EDM, not just only trance music alone, he hopes that the local music scene will grow to give chance to aspiring DJs & musicians to make their mark.
